Welcome to Merisol
The Merisol Company, previously a joint venture established in 1997 between Sasol and Merichem, is since 28 December 2012 a full subsidiary of the Sasol group, after Sasol acquired Merichem’s 50% shareholding.
Merisol’s main business activity is the production and marketing of high quality, specialty chemical products derived from Sasol’s and other suppliers’ phenolic feedstocks. Merisol’s plants and sales offices are located in the United States and South Africa, with further sales offices in the UK and Hong Kong.
MERISOL products are used as starting materials in a wide array of chemical intermediates and finished products including Resins, Wire Enamel Solvents and Antioxidants.
